 | Dr. Andrew Roberts is a board-certified urologist and has been seeing patients since 2000. He is a Tyler native, and his focus is on putting patients first. "My goals are to set up a new practice where people get the time and the concernt they need, and to practice good, conservative medicine." Dr. Roberts' personal interests center around family and church. "As a family, we love to snow ski. It's a great chance to spend time together and be outside. We're also very involved in our church and have found a lot of enjoyment there." Dr. Roberts is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a Pfizer Scholars in Urology Award recipient. |  | Dr. Tom Turlington is a board-certified urologist who enjoys the specialty’s wide range of challenges. “I think urology is the most interesting specialty. We see people of all ages,” he said. “We have to deal with endocrine issues, infectious disease, malignancies, metabolic disorders, congenital defects, some of the problems that we develop as we mature—so we see everything.” Dr. Turlington is retired from the U.S. Air Force, where he attained the rank of Brigadier General and practiced medicine around the world. He said he was thrilled by the opportunity to return to East Texas, where he spent his childhood. |  | Dr. Scott Martz comes to ETMC First Physicians Urology Institute from Chicago’s renowned Cook County Hospital. Dr. Martz received his doctorate of osteopathic medicine from Midwestern University’s Chicago College. He did his internship at Midwestern and his residency at the University of Illinois, Metropolitan Group Hospital in Chicago. He has come to Tyler for the East Texas quality of life and really loves the people here. |  | Dr. Matthew Kincade joins the ETMC Urology Institute after completing his urology residency at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and he and his family are originally from Texarkana, His professional interests include all aspects of urology, including cancer, male and female voiding dysfunction, male erectile dysfunction, minimally invasive surgery, and kidney stone disease. His research in the fields of prostate cancer and kidney stone disease have been published in international journals and presented at conferences across North America. "We are extremely excited to return to the East Texas area," says Dr. Kincade, "and I look forward to becoming a part of the medical community as well as the community at large." His personal interests include spending time with his wife and two children, church involvement, sports, and music. |
