Because visitors often play an important role in the healing process, friends and family members are welcome to visit during your stay. To maintain quality care and avoid tiring our patients, visitors should abide by the following guidelines.
- We request no more than three visitors at a time.
- Please keep visits brief, speaking with the patient and other visitors in a soft voice.
- Children under the age of 12 may not visit patients without the permission of your nurse.
Critical care and specialty units have special visiting hours to meet the specific needs of their patients. You may inquire about these hours at the information desk or by asking any staff member on the unit.
We offer several waiting areas throughout the hospital for family members and friends of patients. Please ask a representative at the information desk for directions to the appropriate waiting area for your special need. To maintain clean and orderly waiting areas, we ask for your cooperation by not bringing food or beverages into these areas. Please do not lie down or sleep on the floor in the waiting areas. Bringing sleeping bags, blankets, coffee pots, coolers, furniture and other items in these areas will violate our fire safety codes and infection control policies. We clean each waiting area daily between 6:30 to 8 a.m. If there is a special housekeeping need outside of this time, please contact the hospital operator by dialing 0.
