Raz Cook to chair Texas Hospital Association’s Rural Hospital Constituency Council

Fairfield, Texas –  Ruth A. “Raz” Cook, FACHE, administrator of ETMC Fairfield, has been named chair of the Texas Hospital Association’s Rural Hospital Constituency Section Council, effective in October.

She previously held the position of chair-elect on the council, which provides valuable input to the Texas Hospital Association’s Board of Directors on issues critical to rural hospitals. It is composed of 15 peer-elected members, representing hospitals from rural regions across Texas.

Healthcare to rural regions
“By serving as the chair of this council, I am able to join with respected peers from rural hospitals across Texas to bring attention to the particular needs and challenges of providing healthcare to rural regions,” Mrs. Cook explained. “It allows us to act as a strong, united voice for rural healthcare in Texas.”
