Dr. Mark Hackbarth, a Houston native, earned his medical degree from Oral Roberts School of Medicine in 1982 and completed his internship at the University of Illinois - Cook County Hospital where he also completed a residency in general surgery. Additionally, he completed a residency in burn surgery at Cook County Hospital and in anesthesia at University of Texas Southwestern, Parkland Hospital. At the University of Cincinnati, he completed a residency fellowship in anesthesia/pain.
Dr. Hackbarth is a member of the Smith County Medical Society. Other professional memberships include the American Pain Society, International Spinal Injection Society, American College of Pain Management, Southern Pain Society, American Society of Anesthesiologists, Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association and the Association of Pain Management Anesthesiologists
