Emergency Care
Henderson Memorial Hospital offers 24-hour emergency services provided by experienced emergency room physicians and staff. As part of the 911 system, ambulance response time and communication capabilities provide Rusk County residents with quality emergency care.
Inpatient and Outpatient Surgery
Surgery can be performed on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. Surgeries available include general and thoracic, gynecological and urological, orthopedics, opthamology, GI procedures and ear, nose and throat.
The BirthPlace-Obstetrics and Maternity Care
Approximately six hundred of the area’s newest citizens arrive annually at The BirthPlace. State of the art monitoring equipment and infant security system combined with well trained, compassionate nursing staff provides comprehensive maternity care.
The Women’s Center
In response to women’s unique health care needs, The Women’s Center provides mammography, bone density screening, and health and wellness information in a private, elegantly decorated area.
Intensive Care Unit
For patients requiring a high level of care, The ICU provides specialized nurses and staff as well as advanced monitoring equipment.
Radiology
State of the art equipment is available for diagnostic procedures including MRI, CT Scans, nuclear medicine and ultrasound 24 hours a day.
Full Service Laboratory
To aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease, full service, JCAHO accredited lab facilities are available 24 hours a day for inpatient or outpatient testing as well as pathology services. Mobile phlebotomy services are a convenient service for organizations and nursing homes.
Respiratory Therapy
Qualified, licensed professionals who provide diagnostic testing and treatment of patients with acute and chronic breathing disorders provide twenty four-hour coverage.
Sleep Lab
The Center for Sleep Disorders at Henderson Memorial Hospital is designed to study our patients sleep in a comfortable overnight setting. The center is is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Qualified trained personnel study, evaluate, diagnose and treat sleep problems in a comprehensive manner. Studies are read by Dr. Saleem Raslan.
Family Health Clinic
The FHC, located on the 2nd floor of the hospital, provides additional primary and minor emergency care. Services typically offered in a physician’s office are preformed by Nurse Practitioners and include pediatric and family health care, routine exams and lab tests and referral for specialty services.
Physical Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation services are geared to providing a comprehensive program for patients of all ages for ailments including orthopedic, neurological, pain management and sports-related injuries. Patients are seen on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.
Cardiac Rehabilitation
A supervised, monitored exercise program is available for patients with heart disease. Maintenance programs are also available.
Diabetes Education and Outreach Center
The Diabetes Education and Outreach Center certified by the American Diabetes Association, provides Diabetes Self-Management classes and supervised exercise programs for diabetic patients.
Community Wellness
Health Fairs are conducted for the public and within organizations for screening of chronic health problems and administering flu vaccines.
