Jack Endres named ETMC Jacksonville administrator

Jack Endres, who has served as ETMC Jacksonville’s interim administrator since February 11, has been named administrator of the hospital, ETMC Senior Vice President for Affiliate Operations Jerry Massey announced today.

“Jack is a strong leader who is committed to working closely with the hospital’s fine staff and physicians and ensuring a bright and healthy future for healthcare services in Jacksonville,” Massey said.

Prior to being named interim administrator at ETMC Jacksonville, Endres served since May 2002 as the associate administrator of ETMC Athens. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Endres served as the administrator of the Muenster Memorial Hospital in Muenster, Texas, from 1992-2002, where he was responsible for all aspects of hospital operations and finance.

Academic background
He is a graduate of the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with a major in finance. Subsequently, he graduated from the Southern Methodist University School of Law with a Juris Doctor, and received numerous honors. Endres is also a graduate of the New York University School of Law, having earned the Master of Laws (in Taxation). He worked as an attorney in the Winstead, Sechrest and Minick firm in Dallas for six years prior to entering healthcare administration.

Boards and agencies
Currently, Endres serves on the executive committee of the Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospitals’ board of directors, having served as the group’s chairman from 2002-2004. He is also the vice-chairman of the TORCH Management Services board of directors, and serves as a member of the Texas Hospital Association’s Council on Policy Development and Policy Committee on Trauma and Emergency Services. He is a member of the Trinity Valley Community College board of trustees and is involved in many other civic organizations and activities.
