Compensation Package

We are proud to offer you the following benefits as part of your compensation package for employment with the East Texas Medical Center Regional Healthcare System.


Available for eligible employees

Time Off

  • Vacation Plan: 1-5 years = 80 hrs; 5-10 yrs = 120 hrs; 10+ yrs = 160 hrs
  • Holidays: Accrue seven paid days (56 hrs) each year
  • Paid Sick Leave: Full-time employees accrue 12 days (96 hrs) per year. Eligible after 90 days.
  • Jury Duty: Pay for regularly scheduled work shifts missed because of jury duty
  • Bereavement Leave: Full base pay for up to three days (24 hrs) for immediate family
  • Leave of Absence: Up to six months of leave with approval of department head.

  • Term Life Insurance: Premiums paid by ETMC. Coverage is 1.5 x annual base salary

  • Employee Assistance Program: Provides counseling and mental health services to employee and family

  • Annual Health Service - Annual TB skin test and flu shot provided through Employee Health

  • Retirement plan available for eligible employees through Texas Hospital Association funded by ETMC

  • Section 125 Plan: Tax savings for health / dental insurance premiums and dependent care and medical expenses not covered by insurance
