The healthcare team of the East Texas Medical Center Cancer Institute realizes that cancer is a frightening subject. A diagnosis of this disease often creates a sense of isolation. That's why we've developed a comprehensive program of support services to provide information and offer reassurance to those whose lives have been touched by cancer. The trained and caring professionals of the ETMC Cancer Institute team are there to help throughout the treatment of your disease and beyond.
Support Groups The ETMC Cancer Institute sponsors several support groups to provide patients and families with the opportunity to discuss their experiences. Some are geared toward specific types of cancer, such as breast cancer, while others are broader in scope. Each provides an informal, relaxed setting which promotes sharing communications to further the healing process.
