The East Texas Medical Center Neurological Institute will hold a
free seminar on treatment for Parkinson's disease and essential
tremor on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 10 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn in
Shreveport.
Dr. George Plotkin, director of the ETMC Movement Disorders
Center, will discuss deep brain stimulation, the risks and
benefits, and how therapy has helped patients with Parkinson's
disease and essential tremor to gain some of their mobility and
independence back.
