ETMC’s Bell Tournament “Drops the Ball!”
A clear blue sky on Monday, September 15 was the perfect backdrop for ETMC’s first Golf Ball Drop – an addition to the annual Bell Memorial Golf Tournament. Sponsored by the ETMC Foundation and the ETMC Cancer Institute, both the tournament and ball drop support ETMC’s prostate cancer screenings and outreach programs.
Out of 774 golf ball entries, one ball actually landed in the designated hole! The winner of the $1,000 gasoline card was Beth Preston of HealthFirst Plans. The following contestants also were awarded prizes for the next four balls landing closest to the hole: 2nd Place – Vivian McAdoo, HealthFirst Plans; 3rd Place – Krystal Coker, Breast Care Center; 4th Place – Carla Marshall, OR; and 5th Place – Joe Maliszewski, Admitting.
Congratulations to our winners and special thanks Air 1 as well as the ETMC staff members and volunteers who made the Bell Tournament and Golf Ball Drop a great success for 2008.
